Electrical problem
1993 Ford Mustang 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My car was running great up until last month - it started to back fire and didn't want to start- it would turn on but then turned off right away. We changed the mass air flow sensor, we cleaned the carborator, and we replaced the fuel filter. It still wouldn't work. A mechanic came and said it was the fuel pump. We bought a new fuel pump and replaced it and it started to run fine like before. I drove it for a couple of hours. Then when I filled it up with gas I heard a very loud pop. I tried to turn the car on and it took me at least ten tries. I managed to get home and when I tried to turn it on again it would not start - the pump is not pumping the fuel. What is the problem with my car?

When you turn key on -do you hear the fuel pump if so check the fuel pressure if not check and test the PCM power relay and fuel pump relay. Report back with some results so that we can continue

I tried to interpret to my husband what I read in the email in spanish- Is he suppose to check a brown fuse that is inside the car or is it a wire that is brown and is it under the car near the gaS tank connected to the fuel pump? We checked a brown fuse and it works- please help- if i could get help in spanish that would be great.
