1966 Ford Mustang Starting

Need help Car not wanting to start just started turn key the sylnoid will click changed had the starter checked tested 3 time tested good had battery checked good took set of jumper cables grounded battrery to frame to check ground, nothing but click. next jumped the clynoid to small post would click tried a couple time then started one time the starter keep turnning and had to pull the battery post to kill the engine but cranked a few time after that but went bak to clicking not your normal low battery click just one click from the cylnoid any suggestions.

i would change the starter relay sounds like its sticking.

make sure the battery cables are good and clean and tight on battery.

have person hold keep turning and holding key to start. feel cables. do they get hot? hold the cables together and try to crank vehicle. do the cables jump? if so have starter retested.

have the starter moved different angles when being bench test. may be shorted when turned certain way.

for the info i'll try ? where would the starter relay be located also the cable do not get hot if I keep hitting the key switch it will make a single click after a few time it will start sould like the starter is struggling but tested will it test ok but drag under pressure.

follow the positive battery cable from the starter. will lead right to it!
