1978 Ford LTD electrical system won't charge battery

Electrical problem
1978 Ford LTD V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 93,000 miles

The alternator light will not go out on the dash. There is no voltage increase at the battery at idle and at 1500rpm. i have changed the voltage regulator followed by a remanufactured alternator; all the connections have been cleaned and the wiring was reconnected as spec'd. What else can be wrong?

Inspect wiring

Disconnect the voltage regulator connector and jumper A to F terminals-what you doing here is full fielding the alternator if the voltage increase the regulator is defective if not the alternator.Let me know
