Seat and valve grinding will change valve geometry slightly, pushrod length change, or will hydraulic lifter compensate?
Valve lapping will increase "seal" between valve face and valve seat. When valve heats up to operating temperature, will the lapped area between valve face and valve seat still match or will valve face no longer match the lapped seat?

Valve grinding doesn't take that much off the valves to change the geometry that much. The lifters can take up quite a bit. Even when heated they still match up well. There really isn't much of areason to lap valves anyhow. If you get a 3 angle grind on them that is about the best.
