This is actually a '67 Ford Country Sedan (station wagon) with a 390 V8. Before taking it a friend for a tune-up, the car misfired badly all the time; cold or hot, at idle or under load. When I got it back, it ran great when cold, but misfires horribly once it warms up.
Work done: new fuel pump. line and filters; new timing gear and front seal; new plugs and wires; new distributor and cab; rebuilt carb and new PCV. He told me to adjust the carb choke with the car was warm but any movement made the issue worse.
I took it to a service station and they ran a compression check and then said it needs a full rebuild. I'm a little surprised because it ran fine a couple of years ago when I got it, but has been stored in a garage and not used much since.
Compression test results were: #1-155,#2-155,#3-165,#4-120,#5-145,#6-155,#7-155,#8-115.
Car does not smoke at all but does smell rich. I'm not sure what to do next.
