How do you replace the rear brakes on this vehicle? Are there any step by step instructions you could give?

Be certain to use part numbers 7F9Z-2200-A and 8G1Z-2001-A .. These are updated brake pad part numbers as the older style brake pads were wearing prematurely. For more details contact local Ford dealer.

i have attached two pictures of the special tool. i bought it at Harbor Freight Tools for $39.99 on 8-31-2010. Please note in the second picture there are TWO T handles: one is for turning the caliper clockwise, the other for turning the caliper counterclockwise. Harbor Freight also sells a tool set that is in a red plastic box, but it only has the T handle that goes clockwise. On the 2005 model you need both T handles to get the job done. It is very simple to use and the replacement of the pads is very easy once you get the tool.
