Engine Mechanical problem
2006 Ford Focus 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive 27900 miles

Hello, just noticed today was going about 45-55 mph when i decided to mat the gas pedal, when i looked in the rear view mirror i noticed a smoke screen? doesnt smoke during regular driving. Mostly highway mileage ( 27,900) wondering if this is normal blow by? oil is changed every 3000, does not burn oil. should i take this to my mechanic? Drives well no problems just never matted the gas until today. any input greatly appreciated

Hi there,

This is normally a mixture of unburnt fuel, carbon and muck from the exhaust under higher than normal pressure, it should be ok, but its not a good idea to do this to often as you can do internal engine damage.
