Engine problem
2001 Ford Focus 6 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 96000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I need help with a strange problem. The problem usually happens when it is warm outside. I will drive the car for a while (at least 30 minutes) and then stop somewhere. When I come back out, the car will start but not keep running without pressing on the gas. As long as you keep the gas pressed a little, you can go. As soon as you stop or coast, it dies. Then I let it rest for a couple of hours and it works fine again. I already replaced the fuel filter and pump. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.

Do you have a check engine light or has flashed?

Check the idle speed control motor/valve and throttle position sensor and also the EGR

Nothing comes on before the car dies, but if I let it die there are a couple of lights that come on. How do I know which ones they are?
