2000 Ford Focus 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My son had a minor accident and he never got the car checked it was running fine until 2 days ago it started with the white smoke and he couldn't drive it. Now someone said it's the head gasket and someone else said replace the engine please help- me with the the smoke is coming from by the radiator?

White smoke out the exhaust indicates a head gasket or possible intake manifold gasket.

A compression test will tell you if head gasket is problem.

Head gaskets can be changed, it would depend on if it is just a headgasket or a warped head.
