2004 Ford Fiesta Manual 53000 miles
Three months ago my wifes ford fiesta was fitted with a new ignition coil and ECU. Last week she was driving home from work when the car lost power and came to a stop. The engine light was on. We had the car towed to a garage who said it was a similar problem and we should take it back to the original garage who fitted the ECU. We did this, they say that they have replaced the ECU and the car starts intermittently and it is not an ECU fault. For your information after the ECU was originally fitted the car would always stall a few second after the first start in the morning or after the car had been left for a few hours. We have been told by another garage that there is a short from the ECU to the ignition coil. Can you advise what other electric problem could cause this if the garage are telling me that there is no problem with the ECU
