1991 Ford Festiva wont start, but have headlights

Electrical problem
1991 Ford Festiva 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

battery died due to headlights left on. Replaced battery, but will not turn over. I do have headlights but that is it. Please throw ideas to me. Please send logical answers only!

I'd be checking all your connections are clean and tight especiallythe positive terminal or that you have left one still disconnected'

Hi dinky

Have a close look at your positive terminal and you will find several connections, sometimes a fuseholder is mounted here that supplys the alternator and ignition switch and lights, all these connections seperate to the heavy starter motor connection,
