Hi there
I have recently redone the head in my EF falcon. It has all gone back together well and drives, however it does not idle as smoothly as it should and loses power at 3000 rpm. It is almost as though there is an issue with the timing however as this model has an EDIS there is no adjustment for timing. I have replaced plugs, leads, coil pack and camshaft position sensor. Any ideas?

Hi there,

Run a scan first, as these ford wont show a check light with all faults, re check all vacuum lines, and check the idle control motor in the throttle body, I have found that a vacuum leak often causes this problem, also is the valve timing correct? One tooth can make a big difference as well.
