1990 Ford Falcon stalls when push pedel too fast

hello, I live in remote area, 230 ks too nearest mechanic, I drove to from near cunnamulla to brisbane and back, first 400 ks ok then going 100 to 110 kph plenty fuel, but car then goes to stall when I go to over take(when press pedel quick)it, s ok when press pedel slow, samething happens when on takeoff when at lights, made it to brisbane, it now runs very rough, so I done timeing, still same, then check leads (two bad ones) replaced with two old ones but good ones, sounds good, distribuater cover replaced 2 months ago, there is fuel in carb, , as going back west going up toowoomba range stopped 3 times as over heating (heated up fast), got to top and made it home, 10 hrs later, know very hard to start, flattens battery fast trying to start, so jump start, starts a little better when motor warm, temp very good but not up ( the range), will stay cool for hours on idle, battery 12.7 volts no started & 14.3 when started, no leaks anywhere, where are fuel filter, fuel pump, its a feb 1990 ea falcon wag auto 4 speed, hope you can help
