1980 Ford Falcon won't start

I drove my ute just yesterday and went to start it up again for work the following morning and it wouldnt turn over, It has a gas purging button i need to push before i turn key in ignition, it normally does take 10 or so seconds before it starts but this time just kept winding and winding and never actually started, just ended up draining the battery..........

Hi there, make sure that the gas solinoid and fuel cut off solinoid are powering up, you should hear them tick, but check with a test light to be sure, start here.
