Hi there,

The older the car is the more prone to component wear and failure it will become, regular inspections will pick up on any small problem, there is an old saying in the motor industry, fix the small things and the big thing will take care of themselves, basically if you fix any small problem you come across during regular maintenance the chances of it developing into a bigger problem are well reduced.
