1964 Ford Falcon V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual 180000 miles

i have a 1964 ford falcon and the battery runs dead when the engine is off the alternator is drawing current was wondering if could be the voltage regulator as had the alternator checked and it was ok any ideas thanks troy
