I am starting a restoration project on a car that has been stored about 10 years. Where should I begin? The engine is turning over but it won't start. Am replacing the points. What else should I do? This is my first restoration project. Also, should I take off all the trim, door panels, etc. before having the car painted?

You will need to get the carby cleaned, it will be full of corrosion, replace the fuel filter clean the tank and ensure that the fuel pump is working, ensure you have a good spark at the coil when the points are fitted and re check the timing, all trim and glass should be removed before any painting is started.
