I am trying to increase the performance of my truck for everyday fuel economy without loosing the pulling power that I have. I have looked into several systems that include new exhaust kits chips and either ram air or cold air intakes. I cannot find the difference between the two and was wondering if you could help. Thank you for your time

You mean the difference between ram and cold air? Ram air intakes only use forced air from the front of vehicle to help bring in cooler air into intake. Cold air intakes actually have a cold box that produces cool air, similar to A/C, that is then sucked up into intake. True cold air intakes are usually much more expensive then the ram air intakes and are much more effective as well. When you gain HP your likely to lose fuel mileage though. Although intake upgrades will only gain 2 or 3HP at best, despite what the companies claim.

Cold air intakes will ensure that you get the best performance and save on fuel for your vehicle. Some of the cold air intakes like the Volant ensure more torque, power and performance. They area also easy to clean and are reusable.
