Truck wouldn't start--gas filter clogged --changed filter-
truck will not start (not getting fuel from tank) I removed filter after trying to start and no fuel was in the line--as far as I know the clogged filter was the problem--does the system have to be bled to start or should the pump fill the system on its own

Yes, the system will fill on its own--no need to bleed. Check the fuel pump to be sure it is working. If it is working, check the fuel pressure with a pressure gauge -- what is the fuel presure?
