The engine is a 352 ci, w/ a 2 barrell carb. I've rebuilt the carb, new fuel pump, new points, coil, condenser, etc and new battery. Truck will start and run for a few minutes and then dies and won't restart, until I've waited a few hours or until the next day. At this point I don't know which way to turn. Whether to keep exploring a lack of fuel issue, or an electrical issue. Not much left to do on the electrical, except for possibly the relay?? If its a lack of fuel the only thing I can think of is there's a blockage in the fuel tank?? Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Hi springcrk. Welcome to the forum. When the engine dies, I assume you checked for spark and it's there. If not, a defective coil is the most likely cause.

Work the throttle and peek down the carburetor to see if you're getting nice squirts from the accelerator pump. If not, pull the fuel line off from the carburetor and run it into a bottle. Watch for fuel when you crank the engine. If there's just a little trickle, suspect a collapsed / plugged pickup sock in the gas tank. If you can't find a replacement, cut a slit on the top of it and add a Chrysler inline filter in the line along the frame rail. Those filters will last the life of the vehicle.
