I have a 1971 ford ranger 250 with eight cylinders. It has been "modified" to save on money by using common found stuff...i need to know the general location of the oil "hole" (where to put it in)

What exactly do you mean by modified? Just curious. The oil cap is generally right on top of the engine with a picture of an oil can on it but if they changed it, it could look like either of these but most likely the first.
