Engine Performance problem
1999 Ford F250 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 236872 miles

I have a 1999 F250 super duty V10 6.8L
If you let it sit out, lets say maybe 45 minutes in the sun and heat or after driving awhile. Turn off and let sit for maybe 10 minutes it will crank great, but not start. Unless you let it sit for awhile.
When this happens, there is no fuel pressure, injector pulse, or spark.

The most probable thing could be the fuel pump, fuel pump relay or the fuel pump fuse. Also if the fuel filter hasnt been changed in a long time it could be clogged and make the gas get stuck and not reach the injectors. The check engine light wont come on with any of these issues, it would only come on if you have problems with any of the sensors. It could also be something in the electrical system like the solenoids. I really doubt it is the alternator or the spark plugs. Good luck and I hope itll be a cheap fix.
