1995 Ford F250 V8 Four Wheel Drive Manual

My 1995 F250 has given me problems a couple of times now Not starting. When I turn the key I just hear a click then a wineing sound. I try to bump the starter several times but it just wines. And the starter gets real hot to the touch. Do you think this is a bad starter? Or could it just be getting hung up with the trans gear?

When I turn the key I just hear a click then a wineing sound. If the battery and connections checks out-the starter overrunning clutch could be slipping-drop it and investigate-
