Noises problem
1992 Ford F250 V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

i recently put a new engine in my truck it runs and drives pretty good it has a 3 speed tranny in it when i am driving it sounds really good untill it warms up at higher speeds it sounds like the rpm rev up like i am going to fast for the gear that it is in i have a tach and it doesent change im stumped any ideas?

When it warms up was the clue. You need a new fan clutch. When it gets hot it is locking up and the fan is spinning too fast making a lot of noise. Change out the fan clutch and tell me that it is solved.

i resently asked a question about the noise my engine was making you told me to replace my fan clutch. when i put the engine in ichecked it and it seemed to be good .but after i got your e-mail i inspected a little closer and found the heat spring was verry loose anyway i replaced the fanclutch and problem solved.thanks alot man happy 460 owner
