I am no mechanic but out of work so must try. I just got this old truck. It has (had) a cooking oil system in the back tank and diesel fuel in the front tank.
I was driving home with junk steel and it simply died. There is plenty of diesel as I just filled the front tank about 80 miles ago though the guage does not work.
It seemed to simply just stop. All the guages were in the normal range so no indication, even a hint of a problem.
I am assuming that it is a fuel problem. How can I test this? Is there printed repair information available? If the fuel system checks out are there tests that I can perform that would help me determine the problem?
