1990 ford f150 185-200k, auto 2x4. big 6 cyl i think.

hi!

when the truck is cold it starts fine, when its hot it turns over really slow/weak until the battery dies, then after i jump it it starts. my thoughts are engine wear, starter, or solenoid.. what u think? it has a new battery.

My friend had the same problem in a late eighties ford f250, he changed the starter and no more problems. I don't like to advise people to just throw parts at something without troubleshooting, but the starter for that is pretty darn cheap and it worked for him.
