I've recently been having trouble starting my car. After ruling out several other possible problems, I'm now on the ignition switch. I bought a new one and put it on, but it doesn't work. Further, where I was able to bump the cylenoid, it now does nothing. I didn't relize that these were put in a "lock" position and apparently, I was to put my truck in reverse before changing this. I do believe that I now have this switch turning to a locked position when I'm turning the ignition over because I have no power to my windows, no seat belt buzzer, no dash lights - nothing. And, I'm unable to change the gears in the truck. It's as if it's completely turned off. Is there anyway for me to fix this. If it requires me to buy a new one, thats ok, but how am i going to get the truck in reverse to make it so I can install it correctly. I tried putting the old one back on, but that didn't work either. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Tea

There is a proceedure I will post it, you may have fried the fuse link at the starter solinoid, tug on the smaller wires down there if they stretch, replace the link!
