1991 ford f150 4x4 5.0l automatic it's hard to start in the morning. Starts and dies several times. Once it gets going it dies every now and then and has a little bit of a miss. I've did a major tune up and replaced the fuel pump relay. I'm thinking fuel pump but what sort of system does ford use for cold starts?

Check this from Mitchell...Temp sensor acts like a choke till it warms up...try replacing it!

I tried that. Now it's worse! Sorta. Before it would sputter and try to start, now I just crank and crank on it and it doesn't even try. After several minutes of cranking, letting it sit, cranking, letting it sit, etc. It starts and runs great. Until it starts, it doesn't sputter or pop or act like it's trying at all. Kinda weird
