My service engine light came on, I took it to the AutoZone and Advance Auto Parts to hook up to a scanner. It indicated the EGR valve, insufficient flow. I replaced the EGR valve, within 24-48 hrs the light was back on. I took it back to have scanned again. The light keeps coming on I have it scanned and it continues to show the EGR problem. Any ideas why the light still comes on? They reset it ever time and it comes back.

Most likely it is not the valve itself. The computer measures flow through a sensor mounted on the EGR plunger. It can't actually measure the flow of exhaust, only how far the valve opens. Maybe the valve isn't opening far enough? That could point to a problem with the duty solenoid that controls the amount of vacuum going to the valve, or a leak in the vacuum lines that make up the EGR system. It could possibly even be a bad EGR position sensor or a broken wire between the sensor and the computer. Those are some thing to check first off.
