I have a 1998 F150 w/Triton V8 about 82,000 miles. Where is the switch that turns off the dome and outside bed light when the door closes? It usually is in the door frame and is a simple push switch. Can't find one anywhere. I want to be able to leave the door open for a period of time while I work so that my dog can lay in the truck seat comfortably and still be watching me. I can't depress it if I cant find it!

Thanks.

Hey Bro. The 98's have a photo optic sensor that you cant mess with. Actuallly they really suck because if you get dirt or grease build up in the body panel they will not function properly and the lights will not turn off at all. The only way to turn the lights off if this happens or if the door is to remain open is to pull the relay located in the fuse panel below the steering wheel. I can't remeber the number but it is the lower left relay
