I have a 94 Ford F-150 with 6 cyl and manual trans.
It has 215,000 miles. I have relpaced the motor (3 yrs ago)and it has been running fine. Then the new (used)motor started to have a knocking sound.
I removed the upper injection plentium and valve cover to identify top end noise. Foolishly I rolled it over with coil wire connected. It started momentarily. I continued my search for broken valve spring, etc. Reassembled. I have spark to coil feed, with ignition on, but no spark from coil to distributor. I bough a new coil and tried it, but it still did not spark or start.

so your getting 12v to the coil with the ignition on but no spark at distributor?

if thats the case change the wire from the coil to distributor. if still no spark then recheck the coil.

Thanks for suggestion. I tried replacing the coil wire and rechecked the coil. Sorry I forgot to mention it.
What could you suggest next? My truck is not @ the computer site, so I may not be able to respond until I can try it in the morning. Thanks for you quick answer, jc
