92 ford f-150

I have a 92 ford f-150 300 straight 6 5 speed manual it runs good but for some reason it keeps cutting out and im not sure what would be causing the problem for it to cut out all the time?

how long does it run beofore cutting out. also does it run if you pump the gas pedal very quickly?

as soon as you take off and start accelerating after 20-30 mph thats when it starts and if you push the gas to accelerate faster it stops a little bit.

will it sit there and idle or day? but when you give it gas it starts backfiring and cutting out?

it will sit there and idle with no problem. its starts cutting out and it doesnt backfire only cuts out.

have you tryed very very slowly accelerating? does that help? if so id check the TPS

it doesn't help it makes it worse

ok i really am leaning towards the TPS. test it and see if thats it. also try wiggling it while the engine is running see if it revs up if so its no good.

could be a partially restricted fuel filter. it will cause it to idle fine but when demand for fuel increases it may not be able to supply the engine with the proper amount of fuel. has the pump ever been chagnd? may be time for a new one.

i would also like you to check for trouble codes that would narrow down guess and check on the components such as the O2 sensors as that isnt a cheap replace.

i just tried to put a new one on but it wont come off how would i get that to come off?

can you take a pictue of the fuel filter connectorsso i can tell you what kind of fitings you have and how to take them off.
