F150 SIDE MIRROR REPLACEMENT

2004 Ford F-150

Interior problem
2004 Ford F150 V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 102000 miles

My driver side mirror was knocked off while parked on the street. I have a replacement. How do I remove the plastic part of the door on the interior to access the bolts to remove the old mirror?

Hello –

Also, it looks like you may have some recalls on your vehicle. The dealer may fix these for free. Please contact the dealer service department, give them the VIN number of your car and have them check on these to see if they apply to you.

How do you actually remove the door panel. Are there hidden screws do you just yank real hard or what? The illustrations that were provided in the first reply the panel is already removed. I understand how to replace the mirror, but how do you get the interior door panel off to accomplish that.

Hello –

Start at the bottom…..there are plastic fastener that always seem to snap when you remove them but you can use the tool below or even a screwdriver….you just have to be ease not to split the panel. Once you pop a couple the others get easier.
