I have a shift on the fly knob on the dash to engage 4 wheen drive. When it is turned, nothing happens. No indicator light, no sounds, no engaging. The fuses check out OK. I used to hear the click of a relay behind the dash when the switch was turned. Now there is no sound.

The switch in the dash that engages 4 wheel is probably bad. The switch turns the indicator light on, It also engages the actuator at the axle. I had the same problem with my f-150. I had the switch replaced. Everything ok now.

Yep, yep, here is how to change the switch out to help fix the problem. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
