2002 Ford F150 another question for Dave...timing on F150 4

Hello Dave,

Thank You for the info on the timing of my F150 4.6 Winsor. The question that I have is I am replacing the Head on the right side and the chain is off and the head. Would it be easier to rotate the crank till I see the #1 piston reach TDC? So you can’t just slap the chain back on from what I am reading….I have to find a marked link to mate to the teeth on the camshaft sprocket?…
