SPARK PLUGS Removal & Installation (3.8L) Use the special tool with a twisting motion to pull the spark plug wire off the spark plugs. Use compressed air to remove any foreign materials from the spark plug well before removing the spark plugs. Remove the spark plug. To install, reverse removal procedure. Removal & Installation (4.6L & 5.4L) Disconnect the Coil On Plug (COP) electrical connectors. Remove the COP bolt and Remove the COP. Remove any foreign debris from the spark plug wells with compressed air. Remove the spark plugs. To install, reverse removal procedure. This diagram is of a 5.0L engine
