When should a tune up be done on the 5.4 L engine in my truck? And what exactly should be a part of the tune up? When should spark plugs be replaced?

Every 3,000 miles or oil change is a good place to start for preventative maitnence.

Change oil oil filter, add fuel additive to the tank. Top off fluids, check condition of fluids, check hoses for damage, and change air filter

change regular spark plugs round 75,000. At that time is good to change plug wires also along with have a transmission flush and filter change, changege and flush the cooling system also.
