Engine Cooling problem
1999 Ford F150 6 cyl Manual

My truck started running hot a few weeks ago. I finally took in to my mechanic when the tempature gauge was almost in red. He flushed my coolant(which he said was very dirty) and changed my thermostat. He check my fan and my water pump and said everything was fine. I got it back today and while I was driving it the gauge went up close to red and would drop out of nowhere closer to the center. It doesn't seem to vary with the speed i'm driving but I noticed that when I turned a.C. Off it seemed to cool down a little bit.

See my profile, Recent CJ Posts,

Lower Radiator hose Ain't "Squishy" and possibly being sucked flat by the Water Pump?

Flushing most of the time, does nothing for something adhered on, better than a Leech!

What about a "Take Apart, Vatting, and Rodding" of your Radiator, BY A RADIATOR SHOP?

We have minerals build up in the veins, you can even see it thru the cap hole!

Last time I had one done, in my area, about 2 years ago, Cost me $40----New one was going to be a little over $200 for my CJ 5

Waddu Think?
