1999 Ford F150 odometer light

I have a 1999 F-150 ford pick-up and the odometer light goes out after running the truck for a short perioid of time. Usually after restarting motor it will light up but it will again go out in a short time.Could there be a relay that heats up and kills the light. I have checked for loose connections and found none.

This is caused by a cracked solder joint on your odometer circuit board. The dealer charges around $600 to fix the problem. You can fix it yourself for free.
