Does my windsor 4.6 motor have an oil pump? If I keep the speed at 50mph and above it runs normal. If I have to run at a slower speed it begans to knock. If I turn the motor off and, wait it runs normal again. It does not run hot. Thank you for any help you might give me.

yes it has a oil pump all vehicles have to in order to pump the oil to various parts of the engine.

i would use a oil pressure check guage and thread it into the block and monitor the pressure while raising the rpms. should get atleast 10psi per 1,000 rpms
