trip odometer and total milage odometer both stoppled working at 106,000 miles. Speedometer still works. This is an anlog odometer. Is this most likely a problem in the odometer itself requiring replacement of the entire instrument cluster or could it be in a sending unit somewhere?

Thanks,
Leo

the speedo, trip meter, and odometer all get their signal from the speed sensor.

the solid state module inside the cluster drives the tiny electrical motors that turn the odometer and trip meter.

you could take everything apart and look for a bad connection for the motors, or a cold solder on the circuit board somewhere.

but the problem is in the cluster.

good luck
