i have a ford f-150 and some light beige color oil appeared on the oil filler cap it was over heating awhile back i figured it was water . i took off the thermostat to put a a flush to clean it from all the rust. and it made the thermostat to rust and got stuck that is the reason i took off the thermostat now I dont know if its condensation of the oil if water is leakin in or what i checked the oil and there is no sign of water at all a mechanic itold me to use a sealant for leaks in blocks are they any good? i mean my track is working real fine i am going to put the thermostat back again but first i want to do another flush put that sealant and put the antifreeze but I am afraid it will produce water again i am not saying that its dripping yet it is bearly being noticed just bearly should i try it or do you think is the condensation can you tell what do they refer of oil condensation?
