1997 Ford F-150 windows

I have this really odd problem. Periodically my window just goes down and i can push it up but when i try to push it down it doesn't go down.. The windows are electric the locks work fine .. It is only the driver side window..

It sounds like you either have a bad switch or a broken wire. Check for a break in the wiring in the door jamb where the wiring is covered by a rubber boot. Also, when it doesn't go down, you need to remove the door panel and see if power is making it to the motor.
