When I drive on highway over 1 hr, coming off, when stop at light, oil pressure gage drops and idle falls.
took into shop they replaced relay. Problem continued, shop had and was unable to duplicate problem. Was told by mechanic friend that was sump, add 1 qt kerosene to oil after warmed up, run for 5 mins and change the oil. Did this. Problem still exists. Now check engine light is on, and running rough. Am broke. Any ideas?

Oil pressure:
Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge, if normal replace the oil pressure switch. If abnormal could mean oil pump and/or engine bearing.

Check engine light:
Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on.
