We have owned this truck since new, and have maintained as suggested. The truck runs fine, but all of sudden it is using a large amount of gas. I replaced the air filter, the smog valve, the fuel filter, and added injector cleaner. What do you suggest?

Thanks for your help.

When you say smog valve you mean EGR?

Change the spark plugs and wires also. Any check engine light?

I am not sure what a EGR is, the piece I changed was down by the block and went between the block and a hose on the other end, don't mean to be vague, but I am not knowledgeable about the terms.
I changed all of the plugs except for the last one in back, I could not get it out, and I have not changed the wires, but will do now, and work on that plug, I shot WD 40 in there hopefully to free it up. Thanks for your help.

EGR is exhaust gas reciculate it is mounted onto a pipe that mounts to the Intake manifold.

also change the PCV valve, positive crankcase ventilation.

also check the air in the tires.

QUICK TIP-- to get that frozen plug out, run the engine until it get pretty warm. Shut it off and then remove the plug. Be careful not to burn yourself on the nice warm engine. :D
