I REPLACED A STARTER AND GOT THE WIRES CROSSED AT FIRST, FIXED THAT AND NOW WHEN I HOOK UP GROUND TO THE BATTERY THERE IS AN LARGE ARC AND THE BENDIX ON THE STARTER SPINS EVEN WITH NO KEY IN IGNITION,DOES NOT ENGAGE FLYWHEEL?

You may have fried the starter, take it out and have it tested, Fords only use 1 cable to the starter, which wires did you cross?

THERE ARE TWO WIRES ON THE STARTER, HEAVY WIRES AND ONE LITTLE WIRE THE TWO HEAVY WIRES ON THE STARTER WERE REVERSED AT FIRST AND I REPLACED THE STARTER AGAIN BEFORE I SWITCHED THEM TO THE CORRECT POSITION.THANKS FOR YOUR ANSWERS!

Looks like the only thing you could have fried, is the starter relay, it's behind the battery, the pos cable goes right to it...while it's spinning remove the small red/light blue wire from the top, does it stop spinning? Replace that relay.
