1993 Ford F150 Oil pressure fluctuation
Engine Performance problem

Recently my oil pressure began to drop to extremely low when the motor is warmed up. Have changed the oil and the oil filter and it still does it. It is only after I have driven it long enough for it to be warm, and it only does it at low RPMs. When I give it gas it goes back to normal range.

Hi there,
I would be checking for a faulty oil pressure relief valve first, start here.

Hanks. Is that the same thing as the oil pressure sending unit?and where is it located?

Hi there,
No the switch is a pressure sensitive sender that transmits the pressure readings to the gauge, the relief valve is part of the oil pump.
