While driving my truck intermittently dies and then won't start, acts like battery is dead or exhaust clogged or timing is off, right before it dies I can let off the gas and it will idle, when pressing the throttle it will lose power and eventually die, the last time it happened I got a check engine light and code for the knock sensor, i'm not sure if the knock sensor has anything to do with the problem or if the problem caused the failure in the knock sensor. I replaced the muffler about a year ago because it was clogged and had holes in it, it appeared to fix the problem but it didn't, please let me know what you think before I have to spend tons of money on the exhaust

Check fuel pressure? After it dies does it restart or do you need to wait? Has back pressure been checked for CAT blockage?

It shoots alot of fuel out of the line when cranking, it just has a hard time turning over, it will sometimes start up after 15 minutes of sitting and sometimes it takes a couple of hours, when it won't start it barely cranks over sorta like the battery is dead or timing is off
