I HAVE A 1992 F-150 WITH A 302 FI ENGINE AND A E4OD AUTO TRANNY WITH AN ELECTRONIC ODOMETER. THE ENGINE IDLES FINE WHEN COLD BUT WHEN IT REACHES OPERATING TEMP ALL OF A SUDDEN IT IDLES FAST, ALSO MY TRANNY SHIFTS FINE BUT IT SHIFTS REALLY LATE(EX 28MPH THEN 48MPH) ALL THE TIME WHETHER THE TRANNY OR THE ENGINE IS COLD OR HOT. WHAT COULD BE CAUSING THESE PROBLEMS AND CAN THEY BE RELATED TO THE SAME PROBLEM SINCE THEY ARE BOTH ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED? THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR,IDLE AIR CONTROL,COOLANT TEMP SENSOR??? MECHANIC SAYS ITS THE TPS AND BOTH PROBLEMS ARE RELATED TO THIS BUT I AM NOT SURE AND WOULD LIKE A SECOND OPINION
