I have this 89 f150 4x4 with a 351 and iv noticed a miss in the engine, so I did a full tune up but the miss continued, now today I noticed the oil pressure moving up and down! I checked the oil level all is good but I noticed the miss getting worse if I need an oil pump, can you replace this without taking the engine out and are their any tricks to get the pump out?

Oil light coming on and acting wierd could be just the oil pressure switch-Do you hear any knocking noise coming from the inside of the engine if not check the oil pressure swtich.

For the miss could be one of the following:

Misfiring can be caused by worn or fouled spark plugs, a weak spark (weak coil, bad spark plug wire), loss of compression, vacuum leaks, anything that causes an unusually lean fuel mixture (lean misfire), an EGR valve that is stuck open, dirty fuel injectors, low fuel pressure, or even bad fuel
